BED & COCKTAIL

THE COOPER HOUSE IS BEING RENTED AS A WHOLE HOUSE AT THIS TIME. THERE IS A TWO NIGHT MINIMUM STAY.

Cooper House has four distinctive guest rooms, each with a private bathroom and a silly name.

1) Canary, Crimson & Coal - double bed – 100.00

2) Duchess in Reduced Circumstances – double bed – 100.00

3) E’s Portmanteau – queen bed - 120.00

4) Clare Q. – king bed or two singles – 120.00

A rollaway bed can be added to Clare Q. or E’s Portmanteau for an additional 20.00.  Guest over 6’ tall are encouraged to stay in E’s Portmanteau or Clare Q. rooms.

Because Thomas is a very small town, businesses feel compelled to support one another.  So, instead of serving breakfast, we encourage you to enjoy a meal just a few doors away at The Flying Pigs Cafe or at Tip Top Coffee, a bit further down the street next to Three Castles Antiques.

At this time we are waiting for the proper licensing to serve alcohol. But we have a lovely fireplace in the common area where snacks are served in the evening.

LOCATED IN THOMAS, WEST VIRGINIA

Cooper House is located next door to The Purple Fiddle and the nightly live music is part of the Thomas experience.

Performers travel from San Francisco and Boston, Philadelphia and Brooklyn, Ashville and Nashville, Sweden and Tuva to play music ranging from alt folk and bluegrass, blues and reggae, the traditional to the un-pigeonholeable. No matter the genre it's always a great time and you’ll most likely want to head over in the evening. The music usually goes on till 11 and the street can stay lively till midnight.  Those with early morning business should probably stay somewhere less festive.

During the daytime there's plenty to do in every season.

In the spring & summer go hiking, biking, swimming, exploring, fishing or boating. Because the area is enchanted, the tempurature is always a few degrees cooler than the  cities and lowlands.

During the magical winter months we have snow shoeing, downhill and crosscountry skiing and drinking.

And of course, fall is all about the firey, leafy, wonderworld. It comes a bit early here- end of September through mid-October. Don't miss it.

Below is Scruffy. He lives here and does not like kids under 14. Or mailmen. Or other pets. And for this reason we can't welcome small children, other animals or you if you are wearing your mailman uniform. We're working on all these issues.

Choose from 4 different rooms - all with their own private bathrooms

Cooper House has no televisions but is absolutely teeming with free wifi and we have a substantial collection of good books • Advance reservations are recommended, especially during the ski season and at holidays, but not required.
